Looking to expand windows drives of SQL database

Hi All,

I have a 20 TB database made up of multiple 2 TB mountpoints. Recently end user want us to expand drive, but all the disks are MBR and cannot to extended beyond 2 TB, from storage side it cannot be done. From server side we attempted robocopy but they unable to attach database post copy and that went for 1 complete day. This is critical application and not agreeing to provide more downtime.

Is there anyway that it can be done from any of the tools? Quick response is really appreciated. We are running low on time. Please let me know if there is anyway to copy data to bigger size luns from storage side. Small downtime is fine

I have Recoverpoint available and Appsync, is there any way these 2 can be used to copy data to bigger size luns which are formatted as GPT ?

I have tried to create copy from storage it will not change drive format. But if there is a way to copy data to already formatted GPT drive that would help

I tried creating a GPT lun and started copying data from MBR using PPME, end of migration when the switch happened, target became MBR. If you have done it could you please give me the process ?

Try with appsync to restore a copy of the database. Page 145 https://dell.to/3itfxYs

I have Xtremio connected and as it is snapshot based copy, restore will hold same property as host right ? After restore target will be still MBR. Is there any appsync experts who can confirm that the restore is possible to already formatted GPT disk ?

I tried restore using appsync, it is not giving any option to even select lun. I see only path option under restore mode.

The best option is to call phone support at this point.
