XPS fails to boot - orange light when I press power
My XPS is failing to power up. It was fully charged. The behavior I see is this:
The keyboard backlight is on when the power when power on and when I press the power button, the front light is showing orange and stays lit for long. If the power cable is in, then light becomes on off white in color instantly. Holding the power button down for 30 seconds has no effect.

Your battery is not fully charged, it is in fact dead because your charger is being rejected, almost always from a broken DC Jack. Orange on power-on means dead battery; single white flash from charger is connected means it sees that a charger is connected but the white light goes out as the charger is rejected.
