XPS 15 7590 - Hard Drive - Not installed - Loose Connection?

I'm getting a "Hard Drive - Not installed" error that I think is related to a loose connection.  When I move or bump the laptop it either causes or fixes the problem.  On startup if I get this error, I'll tap the case a few times and then usually it will boot up normally.  However, if I'm moving the laptop while it's running, it will crash and then when I reboot that error will pop up.  Once running, If I keep the laptop still, I can use it reliably.

I removed the bottom cover and the hard drive appears to be securely held in place.  It will not wiggle in the slot.  The connectors on the board and the pads on the drive look normal and clean to me.  I also ran a diagnostic on the drive and no errors were found.

Does anyone have any ideas for what I should do next?

Though you have checked the cables and drive for secure connections it could still be the cable. Also at approaching 5 years of age the HDD could have problems with the read/write head or the platter itself. Can I assume the drive has worked properly until recently?

Confirmed it was a failing SSD.

Is there one drive in the system (an actual hard drive), or are there two (an M.2 SSD and a hard drive)?  Have you checked both of them?

@JOcean Yes, no issues until this started happening 2 weeks ago.  I don't have another M.2 SSD to test it it's the drive but maybe I need to buy one.
