XPS 8500, green audio jacks have no output

I've always had problems with the audio on this computer, but usually by some miracle it starts working. :D This time I've hit a dead end.

Here we go!

The green output jacks, front and back, quit working. My headset takes output from the AUX output jack, but speakers won't work on that one.  Headset won't work on the green jacks either.  Here's what I've done:

I plugged the speakers into my cell phone and the speakers are working.

I checked the device settings and finagled with them a number of ways, but no luck (this time). Here is a snapshot of my devices:

I've adjusted the Recording/Stereo Mix to see if that was the issue, reset to default.

I disabled all the devices but the Speakers/Headphones and Realtek Digital output.

I deleted, let Windows reinstall the drivers. I downloaded the drivers from the Dell Website, deleted the existing drivers and reinstalled.

I updated the Chipset.

I didn't get lucky this time, no miracles. I do find it odd that the headphones work in the Aux jack however. And the mic (on the headset) works in the pink jack, so headphones are a go that way.

I did notice that the Dell Audio App is no longer present. Not sure if that's the problem. But the drivers are there. If there's a place I can download that app, I could give that a try.

I suppose I could install another audio card and disable the on-board, just hope that doesn't complicate things. Any suggestions?

Some more possibly relevant information:

Windows 7 or Windows 10 (64bit)?

It sounds like you know what you are doing. It's not uncommon for various sub-circuits to go out on motherboards (ie, USB, audio, etc.)

Are you sure you aren't ready to either
- Disable on-board in BIOS and install a $50 PCIe sound card?
- Install a $10 USB Sound card (yes, they work fine).

I would also say get a different machine, but you are obviously trying to save this one for some reason. Hopefully, it's a true quad-core with some memory.

And now that I can see your pics, put you a HDMI capable AVR near it and run your audio over HDMI (usually, only uses video-card).

Edit:

And yeah, Windows-10 should toss-you a working driver. Did you try deleting it completely from Device-Manager, reboot, and let it PnP?
