Wyse 5070/3000 & Mouse issues - Horizon Client

We've been troubleshooting a problem for some time now and haven't been able to narrow it down exactly what is causing it.

We have thin clients that freeze up periodically while working with their Windows VDI machines using the Horizon Client.  It is possible that ThinOS 2211 and the latest BIOS has helped but when we tried to update some of the older software packages (Horizon Zoom, Webex, Webex Meetings, Jabber) users report the problem as coming back.

If is very intermittent but frustrating and we cannot get it to happen at will which has made troubleshooting extremely time consuming and difficult.  Almost all users are remote too so there are various connectivity types and environments.  It does appear that a lot of this started on Sept 15, 2022 but no one can put their finger on any changes. ( I should add that I'm new to the environment and trying to unwind it all.)

The specifics are that the user gets a big arrow cursor in the center of the screen that can't be controlled and they lose control of their VDI session.  There is a second parallel mouse they can control.  The only solution is a reboot of thin client OR CTRL-ALT-DOWNARROW and then go back to their VDI session.  The keyboard solution makes me think the VDI client is losing its comms with the VDI VM itself and getting reset with the toggle back and forth.

What is also interesting is using the Horizon Client on a desktop/laptop in Windows completely alleviates this issue with all the same connectivity/connections.

Anyone have any ideas or seen this before?

Thank you.
