WYSE 5070/3000 active sessions random shutdown

WYSE 5070

Dell ThinOS 2211 (9.3.3099)

BIOS 1.20

Citrix 22.9.0.21.3 / Zoom Citrix 5.11.9.21750.8

WYSE 3000

Dell ThinOS 2211 (9.3.3099)

BIOS 1.5.3

Citrix 22.9.0.21.3 / Zoom Citrix 5.11.9.21750.8

Recently been having random Thin clients shutting down while being in active sessions. This is not happening to everyone. We have one user just doing spreadsheets and then citrix shows a countdown and then shuts the thin client down. another issue was a person was in a zoom call and it did the same thing.

We had put network team look at the ports and switches and shows no issues or errors. This is random and can't tell when to going to happen.

All the 5070 are in the same group policy on the WMS server and all the 3000 are in another. We only have a handfull of 3000.

Seeing if anyone has come across this? We have made no changes to the network or wyse thin clients in over a month

This is very odd.  Have you checked the audit logs in WMS to ensure it wasn't driven by a policy or another admin?

Have you checked to ensure the device doesnt have a device policy?

Have you confirmed the BIOS does not have a scheduled shutdown?

I would encourage you to open a support call and gather logs from an affected device for feedback.

Thank you. Yes we checked and sent logs to Dell to see what they can see. We have single policy for these 5070s so for the most part, if one person is having the issue they all should.

Working with Dell support and have sent multiple logs and awaiting response
