Android 2.2.1 (nexus 1) to Mac OS 10.6.4 failure

Downloaded the free version of the app (1.1.106), connected to my Mac and it worked great 
Problem was that next time I connected it was not so great 
Most of the desktop was invisible (black). Tried to exit the app and reconnect, but no improvement. My guess is that some kind of refresh is needed.
I can get the desktop showing again by moving things around, but that's not really a viable workaround.

Also downloaded the companion for mac which was far from a pleasant experience. Why not have let users register a dedicated wyse-account instead? Logging in with a google account failed miserably, with no error message. Possibly because the google-account I used doesn't have gmail. I would never use my normal gmail-account to login to other sites or apps, and setting up a new gmail just for this is more work.

Hope these issues get solved so I can buy the full version...
