wyse device manager database

During the installation of wyse device manager workgroup 4.8, i'm unable to contact the database with the software device manager workgroup.

I try to contact the database with other software, wyse device manager is the only software which can not contact the database. When I try the custom installation, i don't see the parameters which enable to contact the database instance.
Can you help me with a procedure? (the online procedure doesn't help, it doesn't explain this step).

All the installation has been mad with a new XP OS, specially installed to support Wyse device manager software.

OS : XP Professionnal SP3
Database : MS SQL Express 2005
