redr1525, go to this site http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/taskbarplus!.htm and download minimized programs missing link on the bottom left list.Your anti virus may try to stop you from running the vbs script,if so choose to allow script to run.

domo (japanese for thanks)HiGhLaNdEr48.  i found the site after i searched for it a bit. But before i found it and loaded that I reloaded windows xp from the disk dell gave me. I also seen how that want you to verify this by connecting to the internet in order to use it. (crazy) But any how, now i have another minor prob. When i go to shut down - i used to have 4 options. Standby, hibernate, shutdown & restart... some how after reloading windows, it did not go back to normal. I am missing Hibernate. Its not a big deal, but i would like to have it back to normal. Also i noticed you listed a items... is this to your lap? What about partioning the primary hard drive to have a complete restore loaded on it case of crash? This way you may go into the partition and restore from there? My other pc had this option does dell offer this. Or am I stuck with reloading windows and the drivers disk if a malfunction accurs to where i can't restore.  I have searched for a cure for this prob and downloaded some patches that were suppose to cure it but did not do anything. Can you also help with this.

redr1525 You can go to control panel- click power options then hibernate to enable this feature. You did not say if you have a laptop or desktop. If desktop you would be better off not using the hibernation function as it is not ment to be used with desktops. As far as correcting some problems you may encounter with your OS you can do a system restore by going to start-all programs-assesories-system tools restore.
