Changing from Win 11 Home to Win 10 Home on my brand new Dell Inspiron 3020S Desktop PC

I am not a computer expert, so please bare with me ... I just purchased a brand new Dell Inspiron 3020S desktop computer (Intel Core i3-13100 processor). This PC is shipped with Windows 11 Home. I don't like Windows 11 at all and would like to install Windows 10 Home ... Is this possible to do on this PC, and if so, will I need to purchase a Windows 10 Home license?

I have not installed any additional apps nor have I even installed my personal files or documents, so I don't even need to save anything before changing to Windows 10.

Also, if I am able to do this, will it effect the performance of this new Dell computer?

Thanks for any info you can provide ..

Ron

You certainly can change operating system to Windows 10 Home.  You will not need new license, your system will activate Windows 10 license using the embedded Dell OEM license, which is good for both Win 10/11.

Go to Microsoft site and download Windows Creation Tool to your system and create a Windows 10 installation media.  You then can use it for Windows installation.  Remember to delete all partitions on the intended boot drive during the installation process.

When it's complete, just need to install this Intel Chipset Device Software and Intel Management Engine Interface Driver.  The rest of components drivers should be installed by Windows (run Windows updates).

If you have problem with any unknown drivers, go to Dell support site to download Windows 10 drivers for your system at this link https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/product-support/product/inspiron-3020-small-desktop/drivers

@Chino de Oro Thanks a bunch for the info.

I guess it won't be very long before Microsoft stops supporting Win 10 with updates and such, but I would like to stay with Win 10 till the bitter end. After that, I guess I would just have to re-install Win 11 Home ... oh well

It's not that bad with Win 11.  There are some registry changes to tweak the menu and options to bring back some Win 10 features.
