VxRail Symantec Endpoint Antivirus protection support

Hello I was wondering if someone could please answer the following question:

I have a customer that used Symantec Endpoint protection Anti-virus with the old VNX environment. They have purchased a 20 Node VxRail Cluster and want to understand the best practice for using it with Symantec End Point Protection. EndPoint Protection used to be able to be installed at the VM level, and also the Hypervisor layer for ESX, but now they want to know if this option is available with the VxRail Clusters? Or is the VM Level their only option?
