OVA file pre-migration health check failed with timeout.
Upgrade failed. Unexpected failure during upgrade, please check lcm-web.log or lcm.log
Searching around for what could cause this and it points to having an external VC which I do not. I do however have a separate PSC with a built in VC appliance. Should I be using the thin version of the package?
You could try it, what version are you on currently? From the release notes You may not be able to upgrade your system software in some circumstances: ● If you are using a stretched cluster VxRail configuration and you are running VxRail appliance software version 4.7.212 or earlier. ● If your cluster is in an unhealthy state or has critical health alarms
One last thing while I am waiting for support. We changed mystic from the default password. That didn't hinder the last update, but maybe it does on this one?
Check vCenter and see if you have any failed tasks. When upgrading to 7.0.1xx from 4.7.xxx, a new VxRail MGR VM is deployed as well as a new VCSA (and the upgrade will collapse the PSC IF it's the VxRail managed VCSA). It could be either of those 2 OVAs are failing the deployment. There may be a task in vCenter telling you why.
Also, the thin (or slim) package is for use where the vCenter is not deployed/managed by the VxRail MGR VM.

Hi NonyaBZ,
Here are the latest release notes. https://dell.to/3pSC9Ch It upgrades the version to VMware ESXi 7.0 Update 1d which has the fix.

The install times out:
VxRail Update ran into a problem...

If it still doesn't work you may want to call phone support.

4.7.410-26262335
Everything is healthy and no stretch. I guess it is possible the install file was corrupted. I will try the DL one more time and verify.

I haven't been able to find anything that says using a different password is a problem.
