Optical SFP module for VxRail
Hi,
Could you please advise me the reason why EMC does not provide Optical SFP module(transceivers) with VxRail?

VxRail SFP+ connections can be made via Twinax or optical cables. Twinax Direct-Attach-Copper (DAC) cables are ToR switch dependent. Alos, the SFP+ optics are Appliance NIC and Switch dependent. For the VxRail side, compatible optics can be optinally ordered from EMC (model number “SIO-NETCONNECT-003”)

SIO-NETCONNECT-003 is also available in Japan. Have you already check it on the My Quotes?
Please check it on the My Quotes. It comes with PPM.

We have been told SIO-NETCONNECT-003 is a US only sku. Do you know what sku to use in HK? The Asia Pac EMC team wasn't aware of the incompatibility with Cisco SFPs (per Intel's documentation and the other community thread) and we're trying to get this order in asap so I'm trying from all angles.
I have our (US based) EMC reps reaching out to the EMC Asia Pac as well to try to pull this together.

Now we can select VxRail SFP+ option in MyQuotes.
The parts number is "VXRAIL-OPTIC-SR".

You can use cisco Twinax Cables to connect your vxrail to your Cisco TOR switch.
