ESRS Setup on VXRail 4.0 Appliance fails with ovftool error message
Hello everyone.
We are just in the installation process of a VXRail appliance with ten nodes and during the setup of the ESRS appliance (we managed to get the manager to access the internet without being able to setup a proxy - what the???) it fails at 5% and shows an error message, that I should check that the OVFtool is correctly setup in the VXRail Manager (where???) and the vCenter is running. The latter is easy because I´m currently working on the vCenter WebClient where I was able to deploy a VSAN witness for stretched configuration via OVA...
I just don´t get it. Any idea? Support page search didn´t get any hint on the topic and google doesn´t even know the error message (at least not in german...)...
Thanks in advance for any help.
Regards
Terence

Can anyone help on this issue? I've exactly the same problem. I'm trying to deploy ESRS on a VxRAIL 3.5 with 4 nodes, but it fails with exactly the same message and at the same percentage (5%).

I would suggest opening up an SR with Dell EMC Customer support to troubleshoot the issue.

I was just in the process of opening a SR and in the meantime did a reboot of all VX appliances (vCenter, Management, PSC). My colleague pressed the ESRS installation button and it worked so I skipped the part to open the SR. I´m not sure what caused the problem in the first place, but it´s doing everything fine now.
