Converting VxRail from using 2 uplinks to be 4 uplinks per node
Dears,
I need to confirm if there is a method to convert a VxRail Cluster had been built with 2 uplinks from each node to be using 4 uplinks with each node. the cluster version is 7.0.241.
Also if there is a procedure to change the topology to 4 uplinks, will it require downtime or it can be done online?
Thanks.

Hi Naoyuki,
Thanks for reply. but in my case VxRail nodes came with all 4 ports in NDC card. No PCIe Cards available.
the customer needs to use temp switch until the 2 ToRs arrived and the temp switch has available ports only for 2 uplinks from each node and need to convert it to 4 uplinks from each node when the 2 ToRs arrived but the VxRail cluster will be up and running, So we need to change the topology without doing factory reset to nodes and build the cluster again with 4 uplinks from the beginning.
Do you have a procedure with this case ?

There is a procedure under VxRail procedure -> Miscellanious -> How to -> Change other cluster settings -> How to enabled NIC redundancy.

Hi,
I think that should work if some of the ports are not configured initially. Page 98 https://dell.to/3GHxXPM
Let us know if you have any additional questions.

Since 7.0.010, migration system port to another port is supported. You can use the same procedure in order to convert 2 uplink to 4 uplink with or without PCIe NIC card
