Can we use Vxrail Cluster as external Storage!!!
Hello Experts,
thanks in advance.
please we have 26 node stretch cluster, total total capacity of the cluster is 170 TB and free space is 150 TB.
question is:- can we use the free space as external storage for other host (out side vxrail cluster)??

Hello duahimanshu816,
You can’t use the free space for systems that are not part of Vxrail.

You may make existing VxRail Cluster as HCI mesh server for other non-VxRail ready node as external datastore if using Customer provided vCenter server.
As alternate solution, you can use vSAN file service or iSCSI target but iSCSI target does not support other ESXi or hypervisor as initiator.
