Adding new Node -(VxRail Software 7.0.370) to Existing Cluster (Higher Node version 7.0.452)
Newly adding node version is 7.0.370, ( shipped as this version) but existing Node version is 7.0.452 which is higher.
What do I need to do ? Should we RASR/NIM the new node -7.0.370 >> 7.0.452 or directly can add new node , and during node expansion upgrade on Image to 7.0.452 will occur ??
Current VxRail Cluster - 7.0.452
New VxRail Factory Image Node - 7.0.370
thanks !

Hi,
Thanks for your question.
Update the new node to be the same version before adding it to the cluster. https://dell.to/3vJcapo

You can check here for comapatibility.
VxRail Node Addition Matrix (dell.com)
If the existing VxRail cluster is running 7.0.452, you can add the node imaged with 7.0.370 without reimaging, because Node expansion script automatically upgrade a new node to the cluster version.
This feature takes 1 or 2 hours longer than as usual (node expansion without upgrade).
For troubleshooting and accuracy perspective of the operation, I prefer to reimage the new node beforehand.
