Add new VxRail to existing Cluster

Hi All

I have a VxRail E560F, and I want to add it to an existing cluster, but currently the new node is not compatible because of the existing vxrail version 4.7.515 and the new version 4.7.520. What solution should I do?

As for VxRail, downgrading node is not allowed officially because of unsupported downgrade activity of some FW or software compatibility issue caused by CPU generation of shipped node.

But, you can try to submit downgrade approval request to Dell EMC. it would sometimes be approved in specific condition with some limitation and risk.

Again, downgrading node is not allowed officially, so I highly recommend you to upgrade existing VxRail cluster.

upgrade the existing cluster to 4.7.520 using composite bundle...the existing should be same or higher version than the new ones....

Hi aldyth.

Can version 4.7.520 not be downgraded? Because at this time, the existing server can not be downtime for a while ?
