Take a look at the CLI guide at the command device detach-mirror

Where are you moving the leg to? Another array or another volume on the same array?

You can remove a leg so that there is only one leg and then attach another leg

That command works for a local solution. It even gives an example

VPlexcli:/clusters/cluster-1> device detach-mirror --device /

clusters/cluster-1/devices/cluster1device0 --mirror /clusters/

cluster-1/devices/cluster8mirror
