VPLEX Extent Mobility Migration speed/sizes
I found some confusing info regarding the speed settings on Extent Mobility Migration. In a table is shows:
Transfer Speed (GUI) transfer-size attribute (CLI)
Lowest (default) ----------- 128 KB
Low ---------------------- 2 MB
Medium ----------------- 8 MB
High ---------------------- 16 MB
Highest -------------------- 32 MB
However it gets somewhat confusing when in same doc it show this;
The Transfer-size is the CLI equivalent of the Transfer Speed in Unisphere. It is the region of a
source element that is temporarily locked, read, and written on the target. Transfer-size can be as
small as 40 KB, as large as 128 MB, and must be a multiple of 4 KB.
Is the minimum 40K or 128K and the maximum either 32MB or 128MB?

Turns out it's simply the GUI versus CLI capability...please correct if mistaken.

The Configurable transfer size or speed is between 40k to 128M. the default is 128k. However the transfer size or speed is only a upper limit. The migrations or rebuilds are priority 2 jobs for VPlex always. Only the system decides the speed based on the I/O. And high speed limit impacts the performance to some extent.
