Replicate File data from VPLEX cluster to a standalone VNX, possible?

Hello all.

There is 3 datacenters in total (Site A, B and C), VPLEX is running on Site A and B and a standalone VNX is running on site 3

Is it possible to replicate File data (VDMs) from the VPLEX cluster to the standalone VNX placed on site 3?

Thank u in advance.

Between VPLEX and VNX, Recoverpoint is the only solution to replicate datas.

Which array are connected to VPLEX BE ports ?

If it's VNX array, you can use VNX native replication tools only if VNX luns are encapsulated (1:1) at VPLEX level.

Hi Manu.

Thank you for your answer.

Recoverpoint is a nice soultion but i wonder if its possible to use the more "native" features like VNX replicator between VPLEX and VNX or is Recoverpoint the only way to go?

Hi Mathias,

You can replicate data with Recoverpoint.

In a recoverpoint system you can use VPLEX splitter at site A and/or B and VNX splitter at site C. Vplex at site C is optional in this case.
