i would like to know the max number of volumes that can be seen through a vplex FE port?
like 4096 for a vmax fa port(mapping)

The number you are looking for is not necessarily the number of luns but IT nexus. VPLEX supports 400 IT nexus per FE port. An IT nexus is a path from a hba to a port.
