De-encapsulation

Hi,

I know that de-encapsulation is possible with VPLEX but I was looking for input from anyone who has gone through the process.  I need to de-encapsulate a volume for performance reasons.

Thanks.

Hi,

I've done it a bunch before. It's basically the opposite of encapsulating it and making sure it is quiesced on the host side prior to tearing it down. But once you do that and tear it down, you can present it back natively (usually disk ID/HLU's/etc will change) and then rescan and import/online/etc to bring the LUNs back to the host and then start apps and check data.
