Vostro 3030 SFF - which internal optical drive?
Hello,
I'd like to buy Vostro 3030 SFF soon. The unit comes with no optical drive. I'd like to have one. Technical data lists Slim Dell DVD +/– RW as an option. Therefore I'd like to ask:
- which internal optical drive would be the correct part to get?
- what about DVD bezel?
- does Vostro 3030 SFF contain power and data cables for DVD unit?

the newest 3030 (intel 14th gen cpu) DVD and bezel most likely are the same as the recent 3020 (Intel 13th gen) small desktop and 3710 small desktop (Intel 12th gen)

all three recent models have identical chassis dimensions and pretty much use same oem case with updated bios on each model motherboard to support newer cpu. that is typical Dell product line: write a new bios for same motherboard and market as a new model in same chassis. Dell i know thy tricks well.

yes the dvd power cable is part of proprietary motherboard sata power cable that has regular sata power as well as slim two wire dvd power connector.
dvd sata data cable should be included too. if not it is a standard sata III cable. you can ask Dell to ship you for free if they forgot to include it.
