PSU Upgrade for Vostro 470
Would a standard ATX power supply work with a dell Vostro 470 (or on that topic any optiplex or vostro from 3rd gen back). Would this work EVGA 450 W3, 80+ WHITE 450W?

First its not ATX its EPS 12v 80 percent.
Second the Combined Power for the 3.3v/5v Rails MUST BE at least 140W - 225W
This means EVGA 700BR 100-BR-0700-K1 is bare minimum.
