There is no such thing as pre activation.
Office 365 is a subscription and the activation is on microsoft servers not your hard drive.

Microsoft product ID card is required
You don't get office for free.
f you purchased any of Office full versions, you will receive the MPI card separately which will contain the activation key that unlocks the appropriate modules from the factory installed image.
