Keyboard error message
When I boot up, four out of five times I get "Keyboard not recognised" message and my passcode can't be typed in.
I've tried three good keyboards and I get the same message, I've changed the 3v battery ( the one I changed still had 3v's) I have also reset the BIOS to Default,.
Can anyone help please?

Does this specific vostro support PS/2 keyboards? Have you tried any other USB ports?
These devices should be ready to go once plugged in. Turn the Vostro off for at least 15 seconds, plug in the keyboard and then power the system on.
This may have something to do with drivers, as I have found a solution to a similar problem.
What Windows version does this system run? If possible with various attempts, go to settings and find Windows Update. Look for anything that is detected, especially "USB" or "Intel USB"

Try Update Hardware in Device Manager.
