How to run ram at 2666mhz

Hi, I have a Vostro 3670. Here is some specs: Cpu: I7-8700, Gpu: Gtx 1050 2gb. I bought the desktop with 8gb 2666mhz ram, I bought a new ram (same capacity and bus), it now runs dual channel but at 2400 mhz. Any way to run at dual channel and 2666mhz? Thanks

tbh the speed difference btn 2666 and 2400 is minimal. you would not notice it.  your pc has only 2 DIMM so you can not run a pair of ram in one slot.  if you can not find ram matching the Dell then try to find the two non-Dell ram that were verified by user to run at 2666, if you still want to reach that speed goal.  they were from Crucial or Micron.

can you upload pic of Dell ram and the new ram?  chances are new ram is not same spec as Dell ram.

you may have to get another ram identical to the Dell stock (likely expensive) or 2x8 GB matched ram from Crucial ram or other vendor that has verified to work at 2666 in your pc.

user benchmark verified 2x8GB at 2666MHz includes:

I am presuming ram in slot#1 is from Dell based on Kingston KY7N41-MIE matching Dell info below.  these are the Dell oem 2666 MHz ram for XPS 8930 and likely the same for Vostro 3670.

so look for one of the ram in the list in your country.  Dell just buys these ram from manufacturers and validates and check Q/C (then sells it as oem and charged premium consumer price).

Y7N41 8GB, DDR4, 2666MHz, 1RX8, 8G, 1Gx64, 8K, 288 pin, Single Rank, Unbuffered, 1.2v, Non-ECC

I searched for all the rams you have mentioned but can't find any reputational store in my country. Is there any way to fix my problem by software? If not, can I run a pair of ram in slot 2? It can run at 2666mhz by itself. but that is for the long future. For the short future, should I run at single-channel 2666mhz or dual-channel 2400mhz? Thank you very much!
