Hard drive not installed

I have a Dell laptop, it is giving problem for a long time, the hard drive is not installed in it, it is saying that it is taking a long time.

Run diagnostics (F12 immediately at boot) and watch for any drive errors. Now your post was a bit confusing. Is the hard drive not detected or do you not even have one installed?
