CPU upgrade for Vostro 3681

Can I upgrade a Vostro 3681 SFF from a Core i3-10100 CPU to a Core i5-11500?  This will effectively double the processor performance and the integrated graphics in one operation.  It is the same LGA 1200 socket but perhaps the BIOS will not recognise it?

DELL tell me that only the Core i3-10400 and 10400F are certified and supplied by themselves.  Not much use as the latest generation Rocket-Lake i3-11500 is much faster, still 65W TDP and has the latest Intel Xe integrated graphics.  Did anyone try this?

It seems to be that the highest CPU that 3681 supports is gen 10  i7.

Although the socket of 3681 is LGA1200, its motherboard chipset is B460.

"Intel has confirmed that its ... 11th generation Rocket Lake-S processor will not be compatible with the budget H410 or B460 chipsets"

the Vostro 3690 for example has the newer B560 chipset for 11th gen cpu, but it has other issues such as no PCIex16 slot and no Display Port video out.

Yeah redxps630. So we suggest Dell to merge 3681 and 3690 to get us a new Vostro that supports both 11th gen CPU and HDMI 2.0 or at least a PCIe 16x socket for a discrete graphics card. That way customers of both 3681 and 3690 will not get upset.

No.  Completely different socket types.
