Cant Create Raid in a Vostro 3888 - No Create Raid option

Well, tried it all but I can't get the Create Raid option on the Configure Device option in the boot settings. I can see my two SSD drives  reported correctly but no option to create the array or even change the drive's parameters. Boot is UEFI since it seems the 3888 can't boot legacy.
I didn't install Windows yet but got to the mains screen so the USB UEFI boot is working fine

And, yes, boot is set to RAID, all as required... Am I missing something? Any help greatly appreciated

Cheers

Raid is not created from a bios option.

Only high end systems have Raid Bios menu settings CONTROL M or CONTROL I menu. Since raid involves lots of writes this is NOT RECOMMENDED for SSD drives.

Raid on in your bios is likely just INTEL Rapid Start Technology not INTEL RAID.

Thank you sir for the reply. In fact this is for a high availability system and the raid level to be used is 1, just a mirror of the "normal" hard drive in a desktop so the same writes made on the primary will be on the secondary what does not seem to me a big issue or, at least, not more than what would be normally. Is it unavailable or only not recommended?

I didn't understand the article you sent me as it says about "Extended Card" option that I do not have in my BIOS

And the Intel I have is the Intel Rapid Storage Technology. It shows both drives correctly on the Configure Device screen and show all their parameters if I select either of the drives but does not alow me to change anything. Of course the system is configured to RAID although there is no way in the BIOS to change from UEFI to legacy...

Someone from Dell wrote me "this system wasn't shipped with a compatible RAID BIOS, please update the BIOS for the latest version"... To me a way to get rid of me but I will try anyway.

Any other comments will be really appreciated and again, thanks for your help.

As I thought the BIOS update didn't solve the issue. Still no option to create the array. Updated all drivers and related software with no avail. Dell should clear identify what systems are RAID capable. Although the system ships with a NVME and a CD only there is an available SATA connector in the motherboard and it is functional.

As for now it seems that we will have to buy another system and, quite sure, it won't be a Dell unless it is clearly stated that it is possible to use RAID on it.
