Is there a possibility to retain the changes made to a VDEV?

Hello All, We have TF Snaps as a backup solution and sometimes whenever there is need, we export the VDEVs to servers to copy the data. Likewise there was a VDEV mapped to the server and unfortunately the VDEV was used for production purposes. Now it contains the changes made all through these days and the customer want to retain those changes. Is there any possibility for this? Please help
