Microsoft is going to nag, again...
Got Windows Update notification on my Win 7 Pro (32-bit) PC today for KB4524752 - important.
Since it's "out-of-band", I followed the link to their web page where it says:
This update enables reminders about Windows 7 end of support.
NOT HERE, thank you very much....!

On January 14, 2020, Microsoft will end extended support for their Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 operating systems. After this date, these products will no longer receive free technical support, or software and security updates...
Systems running Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 will continue to work at their current capacity even after support ends on January 14, 2020. However, using unsupported software may increase the likelihood of malware and other security threats. Mission and business functions supported by systems running Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 could experience negative consequences resulting from unpatched vulnerabilities and software bugs. These negative consequences could include the loss of confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data, system resources, and business assets.
It is also my understanding that IE 11 will no longer be supported after 14 January 2020. Personally, I've already encountered several sites that are no longer "behaving" in IE 11.

"Friendly reminders" just like their not-so-friendly "Get Windows 10" reminders that drove everyone nuts for months, even those of us whose PC can't run Win 10.
Do you mean sites like this forum that already don't behave well with IE11...?
I hid this latest "friendly reminder" KB and have no intentions of installing it...

You can disable future reminders by selecting Do not notify me again in the lower-left corner of the notification, and then close the window. If you are an IT professional, you can set the following registry keys to disable notifications:
Registry location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Gwx
DWORD name: DisableGwx
Value data: 1
Registry location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate
DWORD name: DisableOSUpgrade
Value data: 1
