Firefox Browser
I went to update Firefox to version 16.0.2. I noticed there was a note on the update page that said, "You are currently on release update channel". Do I need to do something with this or is this statement OK? I don't know what this means!! Thanks for any comments. I sure do enjoy the information that you top messengers express your views. Good information for us novice computer users. Such as the Windows 8.

It's just a statement.
Channels are:
Release = released final versions available for everyone to download
Beta = versions in final testing stage to clean up a few remaining items; for experienced testers
Aurora = early release of versions still under testing and updating; for experienced testers
Nightly = very early development versions, may be unstable and contain security issues; for very experienced testers
Did you update?

Thanks BB. Yes no problem on update. Is Firefox a good Browser? I use IE and Firefox. It seems like Firefox is a little slower than IE. Again thanks for all your comments on the Forum. Its always good information. I read them all.

Glad to hear all is well. Yes, I like Firefox. I use IE and Firefox, too. No problem with FF slowness here, though. Do you have a lot of add-ons installed? Sometimes they slow things down.

There was a time when FF would leave IE in the dirt speed wise.
I don't know what happened to it, but now, it's really slower than back then.
