dell venue 11 pro 7140

i have a dell venue 11 pro 7140 it was given to me as a gift it's used  it was used before me by a student recently after i tried clearing a corrupted usb the power light started to flash red and the windows task bar started to glitch then when i touch it would close there 2 ways that it close first is it shut down close off and seconde one that it flash a white wave then close but the display is still on but there nothing like it still emit light as if its on i would appreciate an answer
