Unknown files with the SA?

Alienware Area-51m R2

Alienware Area-51m R2

Hi there,

Yesterday I downloaded the Dell Support Assist on my laptop. However, I found a series of files, such as “Dell Instrumentation”, “Dell Diagnostics “, “Dell User Session Agent”, “Dell Tech Club” and “Dell.DCF.UA.Bradbury.API.SubAgent.exe” we’re downloaded as well as the SA was downloaded. I wonder if those files are normal and safe and officially from Dell Support Assist? I’m just afraid that those are not the proper ones for my laptop because I haven’t seen those before (especially the “Dell.DCF.UA.Bradbury.API.SubAgent.exe” one because it seems a bit strange).

Tell me if anyone knows something about it! I appreciate it!

Yes, it kind of is. I is apart of the services running by the Dell OpenManage Client Instrumentation Application. It is possible that this application was downloaded at the same time SA was installed.

Open manage/Dell Instrumentation allows you to monitor the health of you system via various applications.

Dell.DCF.UA.Bradbury.API.SubAgent.exe is a part of dell Update services and doesn't have any alert about this product.

How about the others? Are “Dell.DCF.UA.Bradbury.API.SubAgent.exe” and “Dell Instrumentation” also a part of the new version of the SA?

This is a part of the new SA version. Dell TechHub replaces Dell Hardware Scan service and is needed to run the Hardware Scan panel.

And may I also ask what does the “Dell Instrumentation” do in my computer?

As I replied in my last answer, Open manage/Dell Instrumentation allows you to monitor the health of you system via various applications.
