SupportAssis frozen

2 days ago SupportAssist asked me for making updates. I agreed, everything starts tb downloading $ Installing, but it got stuck on stage 5. The dots are blinking , ike showing that some positions are being stil downloading and some installing, but it never completes. I'm afraid to switch off the energy and close the computer. I can upload ypu  a screen shot, Kod . What shall I do?

To receive assistance from Dell chat support, they need to verify the warranty status and ownership. Then you must troubleshoot with them.  Click the "Get Help Now" icon on the right to start a live chat session. If already out of warranty, click here for the Dell out of warranty offering.

Sofi, I have seen similar behaviour - just blinking dots for hours and nothing.
What anyone can do is uninstall the SupportAssist app completely. You can restart.
You can go to the page for support and drivers: https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-uk?app=drivers
The SupportAssist app seems to be very badly working, recently, at least in my and your cases.

I agree: SupportAssist app seems to be very badly working, recently!

When I try update for the tool, it tells me that there is nothing to update. 
When I start it, it takes quite a while and finally tells me I should restart the laptop and try again. Same result just after restart.
Very poor what Dell provides here!
