SA Recovery Assistant, Dell update not installed
Recently I had to reset my computer, and now I've gotten to file recovery, but when it gets to the "check for updates" section it says "dell update not installed". I've already tried to uninstall and reinstall supportassist, but it didn't work, and I have no clue how to fix this without potentially losing my backup files.

Hi 123caT12:
What is your Dell computer model and operating system, and has your Dell service warranty expired?
Your screenshot of the SupportAssist Recovery says "Dell Update not found". Dell SupportAssist and Dell Update are two different utilities on my Insipron 5584 (see the image below of my installed Dell programs at Control Panel | Programs | Programs and Features), although I'm not sure why a Dell SupportAssist OS Recovery would require Dell Update if Dell SupportAssist is already installed.
The support article Restore Your System Using Dell SupportAssist OS Recovery mentions the Recovery Assistant but links in that support article to the full <ADMIN NOTE: Broken link has been removed from this post by Dell> are currently broken.

It's an XPS 8930, and the warranty hasn't expired yet. Tech support contacted me and gave me a file that managed to fix the update issue, but now it just doesn't seem to want to continue anyways...? It stumped the person helping me so they said they'd ask other people about it but that was on friday, so I'm guessing the guy must have weekends off, if I don't hear anything on monday I'll ask again. It shouldn't be the setup additional windows settings thing, because that's supposed to be optional, and I've tried restarting my computer multiple times.

Hi 123caT:
Your 16-May-2021 image <above> shows that the option to "Remind me until all steps have been completed" in the bottom-left corner of your SupportAssist Recovery Assistant interface has now been disabled. Has that stopped Recovery Assistant from starting at every boot up?

when I leave it unchecked it doesn't automatically start, but I can just open it manually and it looks the same.
