Dell SupportAsssit

Hi, I encountered a major problem with Dell Support Assist couple of days ago. It told me to update as there was an update and when I did it kept saying: We are unable to validate a file for installation. This may be due to lost of internet connection. Check your connection and try again. So I uninstalled the program completely and now when I Try to download it from dell Support Assist download link it says the same thing. Please help shall be very grateful, thanks.

Laptop XPS 15 9570 all software is up to date.

P.S. Every time there is an update I have to uninstall and reinstall Dell Support Assist, never has it worked properly.

Hi, the issue got resolved it self. But to be honest this is just annoying every time there is an update one has to uninstall Dell SA then reinstall just bonkers! For now issue is sorted lets see how it goes on the next update.

Same thing happened to me.

I got a notification that there's an update and wouldn't budge until I accepted the update (I always dread Support Assist updates!) and it failed to update.

I tried cleaning files, cache, and uninstalling-rebooting-reinstalling, to no avail. removing registry keys, removing temp folders, appdata, and what not...still!!

This is such a miserable piece of software that's been bugging my system for at least 8 months.
