Hi -Batman- :
After your service plan expires most of the features of SupportAssist should continue to function normally. You will not be able to start a support request from the Support tab, and if you had a Premium Plus Support service plan that included Dell's proprietary malware scanner then the "Remove Viruses & Malware" panel would be disabled on the Home tab (see image below), but everything else in SupportAssist should still work correctly. My Basic one-year service plan expired in October 2020 and here's what the Home tab of my SupportAssist v3.12.3.5 currently looks like on my Inspiron 5584 **.
** Note that I do not allow SupportAssist to run automatic background scan and only run the occasional manual "Get Drivers & Downloads" and "Scan Hardware" scans with this app. I find SupportAssist is too buggy and uses too many system resources (see the final comments in my 25-Oct-2022 post <here>) so SupportAssist is usually disabled on my Inspiron 5584.
It's possible a clean reinstall of SupportAssist will solve your problem, but before we suggest the best way to proceed please let us know your Dell computer model, Windows operating system [if Win 10 or Win 11 please include the edition (e.g., Home, Pro, etc.), version, and OS build number shown at Settings | System | About | Windows Specifications] and your BIOS version [enter msinfo32 in a Run dialog box (Windows + R keys) to open your System Information panel and look for the field named "BIOS Date/Version"].
If you go to Control Panel | Programs | Programs and Features what version of Dell SupportAssist is listed there, and what version(s) of Microsoft .NET (Core) Runtime are currently installed on your system? From my Inspiron 5584:
-------------
64-bit Win 10 Pro v21H2 build 19044.2251 * Firefox v107.0.0 * Microsoft Defender v4.18.2210.6-1.1.19800.4 * Malwarebytes Premium v4.5.18.226-1.0.1823 * Macrium Reflect Free v8.0.7175 * Dell SupportAssist v3.12.3.5 * Dell Update for Windows Universal v4.7.0 * Inspiron 5583/5584 BIOS v1.21.0
