Dell Support Assist delete my file

Hi, after i install Dell Support Assist, run it - scan my computer for update, then it locked up and posted an error window that files could not be found. Check my desktop - completely wiped out all my files in word, excel, pdf, Visio, etc. Left folder but empty. All file in download, document etc all gone. How this happen? I downloaded at official Dell website.
