Cant open cd tray on new laptop
I can not open the cd tray on my brand new inspiron 8600, the drive is a dvd-rom. i push the button to open the tray and nothing happens. i also try ejecting the tray by right clicking on the drive in my computer and clicking eject and nothing happens either. any ideas?

Hi FurbyDestroyer,
Look on the front of the drive and see if there is a small hole about large enough to use a straighten out paperclip to engage the Emergengy Eject Button on the drive. It may be slightly jammed. Also my friend, you should really post this question in the Inspiron-CD/DVD conference rather than the Dimension Desktop. Better chance of getting a response more related to your system.
