Primary/Active Master Services
Hi
I have SourceOne version 6.6 installed on 3 different servers
on each server installed all components including Master Services
As I understood from documentation there could be only one Active Master Service
and High Availability can be implemented only thru Microsoft Clustering
I want to decommission 2 of these servers (before upgrading), which don't do any activites now
(no Archiving, Indexing etc)
So how can I determine for sure wich one of these servers have active Master Services

The master service installer installs the following services:
EMC SourceOne Address Cache
EMC SOurceOne Job Scheduler
In your situation, these two services should be disabled on 2 servers and enabled (and active) on one other server.
If you want to decommision 2 servers, best way is to take away all roles (Archive/Index/Search and Retrieval) and uninstall all services from the control panel on these two servers.
This will clean-up SQL as well.

I hope your environment isn't messed up now..
Disable it on two servers and wait until after the weekend that synchronization is done correct by only one server.
Than continue to decomission.

But now these 2 services are running on all 3 servers
and I don't know which one is actually doing the job
so I don't need to worry. just disable it on 2 servers and the third will automatically take the role
that is correct?
