Hello Paul,

Are you looking for software and/or instructions for setting up the VMax on ESRS using the single device option of ESRS-IP Client or are you asking for the software and instructions to install ESRS Gateway Server and then deploy the Symmetrix onto the ESRS Gateway allowing for deployment of other devices in the future?

If you are trying to use the ESRS-IP Client for Symmetrix then the implementation of that is part of the Enginuity and therefore can be implemented by going to the service processor and going to Start --> Programs --> EMC Applications --> Provisioning Tool. Please remember that this is going to require an EMC Support Technician / Employee to use their login credentials to start the download process.

For information on the Symmetrix ESRS IP Client following the this link: EMC Support: ESRS-IP Client - Symmetrix

If you are talking about the ESRS Gateway software that runs on a seperate Windows 2003/2008/Linux Server then you will want to plan for this by looking at the ESRS Site Planning Guide from the link below and then you can download the PVT tool which is EMC's ESRS provisioning tool that downloads the correct software. This will also require login credentials for EMC to download the software. Also, once installed and the Symmetrix is deployed this would also require an EMC Employee to approve the deployment of the device onto the gateway from our SecureLink site.

For information on the ESRS Gateway Server Go To this link: EMC Support: ESRS Gateway Site Planning

For the ESRS Gateway Software to install on a gateway server you can follow the following link: ESRS 2.26 PVT

Further, you may want to install Policy Manager for auditing and control purposes. You can find more information on ESRS Policy Manager by going to the following link: EMC Support: ESRS Policy Manager Operations Guide

Also, to download ESRS Policy Manager Software go to the following link: EMC Support: Policy Manager Download

Hopefully all of this information provides you the necessary information to answer your question. If none of this helps please let me know in reply and I will try to assist further.

Is this for the ESRS Gateway version or for the individual device client?

If you are trying to register an ESRS Gateway then you will need to get the site id registered in our EMC systems. This is done via a zero dollar sales order for ESRS 2.0 Gateway. Once this has been completed against the site id where the install will exist then withing 36 to 48 hours you will be all set to register the gateway.

No other way to register site ID to order ESRS Gateway Client such as serial number 14OSxxxxxxxx, 24OSxxxxxxxx.

please enter your Site ID and check your site ID is installed or not.

https://esrs.emc.com/esrs/provisioning/siteId/Site ID/deviceType/ESRS-GW/siteVerification%20

If you cannnot find ESRS license, it would be installed to incorrect site ID or not ordered.

Just a disclaimer that the esrs.emc.com is an intranet site with access to EMC customer support only.  Please work with local EMC support contacts if this needs to be verified.

Enter your site ID?

This is EMC local intranet site as you know, and your output means "your site has GW license".
