ESRS Upgrade from 5.18.00.20 to 5.20.00.10 Download Fails

I got the email 2 days ago to update our SCG gateway servers to ESRS version 5.20.00.10 from our current version listed in the title. The download failed after about 10 minutes and ever since that point and after a reboot i get "Update failed. Something went wrong while upgrading this gateway to latest version. Please try again later." and it will try to redownload the file again but it fails immediately.

Same issue. Must have really vetted the upgrade before it was released. Frankly, I am thinking of abolishing ESRS from environment. It fails to do what it claimed and support is miserable for it.

Hello I was told that this is best that you raise an official ticket so that the team collect your logs for inviestigations. https://dell.to/40yWpg5

It would be nice if there was a bit more information found what to do in this case (instead of "create a ticket").

Hi,

you could check this KB article to solve this problem on your own if this does not help a specialized EMC technician should review your case.

I had this too. I found an error in the logfile that there were too many connections with postgresql on the appliance. But I just rebooted the virtual appliance, and after that it worked.

Even I tried to rebooting the appliance multiple times. Still the same issue.

@magpier-2 Yes, the support for this one particular product is worse of all for sure.
