is there any compression when transfer data

replistor only replicate file operation and relevant data to target, i just want to know is there any compression exists during replication? since my replication link is a WAN link

Yes, by default RepliStor does compression and it is also configurable.

Maintenance -> Options -> Performance -> Compression

The different levels of compression depend on what kind of data is being replication. It will be up to you to test and determine the best compression rate for your type of data. Remember, some times more is not always better.

Just one more clarification...Average data compression is about 50% on the lowest compression setting. As mentioned, the later versions of RS have three levels of compression that can be chosen. the higher the level you choose the more extensive the compression. However, if you choose a higher level of compression the machines will take more resources to compress and un-compress the data. That is why you need to experiment to see what works best in your environment.
