How do capture NMI Dump without server access (Via IDRAC)
We have a few Domain Controllers experiencing an issue where they start losing some connectivity to the point of affecting time operations (Yes they are PDC Emu's).
Does anyone know how to:
- Initiate and NMI DUMP from the IDRAC without having access to the server's physical button's
- Is this possible?

Page 168: https://dell.to/3dD6f76 would be able to help you?

but doesn't this process necessitate the usage of the button on the front of the physical server? Or does it bypass it? And how do you manually initiate the dump if need be?

It will be dependent on the iDrac used, as iDrac 9 has the option on the Power control tab of the iDracs home page. or in older iDracs you would use the racadm serveraction as the main command, but it varies by iDrac. It is indeed possible to do though.
Hope this helps.

Chris,
Do you have any information on using the racadmin commands to initiate an NMI Dump?

What iDrac model are you working with, as well as license?
