Problem with 2400MP

Hello All,

I'm trying to get an old 2400MP projector working, but I'm not having much success.  When I connect power to the projector, the Power, Temp, and Lamp LEDs are immediately constant orange (I don't even press the power button).  I have tried 2 different lamps (both used) and this happens for both of them.  It is very possible that both lamps are at end of life, but my concern is that there is a fault with the projector, and buying a new lamp will be a waste of money.

I'm not sure if this is relevant but when I connect the power without the lamp cover in place, no LEDs come on at all.  This leads me to think that there is a sensor that detects the lack of a cover.  The reason I raise this is because 1 of the 2 screws that secure the lamp cover has been broken off the cover and is stuck in the projector's chassis (screwed in too tight I suspect).

Has anyone experienced this?

Is the projector beyond repair, or will a new lamp get it working again?
