Dell V725w printer Error Message

I have a Dell V725w printer which I have not used very much it displayed an error msg "Reinsert the printer cartridges or printer head damage may occur" Ive tried this many times with no success,switched the printer off still no success. Please help. Tried Dell Support who put me onto their technical support no satisfaction there
