Dell S718QL access

I am using my projector for a movie theater (which works great).  I am trying to access my projector via IP address to script some iPhone shortcuts (like starting or turning off the projector).  I am able to do this with my receiver (Denon), but cannot seem to access it when I try to go via the IP address.  Error states it took too long to respond. Also I can see the projector on my network so I know it is configured properly.  Any advice or assistance will be appreciated.
